House ticks top 3 essentials, and several of the nice to haves. This general type of house comes up maybe every 3 to 4 weeks in target area and goes SSTC within a week.

Sticking point of the currently for sale house is that the garage is too narrow for modern cars, you'd not be able to get out of the car. Zero scope to widen garage. Garage advantages: saves scraping ice, security, frees-up driveway parking space.

So, how much do you use your garage for a car?

If having a garage wide enough to park your car in is a dealbreaker, this isn't the house for you. Wait for the next couple of houses to come on the market, and you'll likely find what you are looking for.

Does the asking price reflect the smaller garage?
I don't think many people use the garage for a car so I really don't think it's an issue for resale.

To be honest if we ever moved again I would want a garage. We are in a 4 bed detached house about 20 years old. We do have a single integral garage but only the front part is storage. The back is a small office and then a utility room which are both extremely useful. But we haven't got the biggest garden and need a shed to store things. With the small bit of garage we do have it's got some shelving in there, the lawnmower and the kids bikes and it's rammed. A double garage is the dream. I'd convert one of them then have the other for storage

I've never not had a garage... and I've never put a car in any of them :) Even when I had a double length, double width one.
I use them for storage I have too much junk
I don't think I'm alone in this.
