Sliding doors - blinds

Hello just looking for some advice.

We're in the middle of a ground floor rear extension and planning to have sliding doors out to the garden.

Just wondered what people do about blinds? We'll need them in the summer as likely to get too hot with the sun shining in and I also hate the thought of neighbours seeing in when it's dark.

I had thought about having 3 roller blinds - one for each panel but I've just realised that our doors go up to full height of ceiling so not sure how we can fit these?

Grateful to know what others have done!

These are amazing but they are pricey.

We’re going to have wave curtains with our 4m sliding doors. The doors aren’t wall to wall so they’ll gather at the ends.

You can get double glazed panes with Venetian blinds inside them, which would be perfect - there are sliders at the side to raise and lower them or change the angle, but the actual blinds are completely enclosed, so they don't get in the way.

You can put a curtain track on the ceiling and have a large voile curtain which stacks back to one side.

We don’t have any blinds on our sliding doors though. We have an awning on the outside instead - works better than blinds IMO for keeping heat out (as it reflects the sun before it hits the glass) and also shades our outside eating area.

I suppose in theory we could also use it for privacy when it’s dark but never been that bothered about neighbours seeing in, I don’t do anything very exciting in my kitchen…

We have vertical blinds, which can slide back to one side to open the doors and have since added some pretty curtains for more privacy at night (don't like the neighbours behind us). Got them from Blinds 2 Go. Easy to fit, not expensive and do the job.

Thanks everyone for helpful suggestions!

Has anyone had a blind recessed into the ceiling at all? Wondering if this is v expensive?
