Having a tree stump ground down

Has anyone had a tree stump ground down recently that could give me an idea of the cost please?

It’s about half a meter across.

Not ours but the housing association who own the garden it’s in paid for the tree to be removed but the stump’s been left. I’m wondering if it’s just worth paying to get it done ourselves rather than try to get them to have it done.

We had 3 large firs removed and their stumps ground, plus two extra old stumps ground and two trees trimmed / shaped. Whole cost was £500. We’re in the west mids.

Hammer in copper nails to reduce the growth - we left ours to dry out and then burnt it over the summer.

Almost free as we collected firewood from parks and woods etc - kids had a few bbq and marshmallows.

Ours was a bit bigger than yours and was £280. It took them hours. It was a beast.

I would phone Stumpbusters or firm local to you and get a quote

That sounds do-able then. Thank you everyone.

The copper nails and burning sounds fun but I’m not sure what the tenant would think.
