Cheap (short-ish term) Kitchen and Bathroom

After much debate, DH and I have decided to do a mini-renovation of the house we moved into just before covid hit, as our plans to extend and renovate have been put on hold for at least another 2 years due to a massive loss of earnings and our business (we own a restaurant) needing to recover post pandemic.

Initially, I was loathed to throw money at something that we will use for around 2 years before getting rid (hopefully) to make way for the major work, but we really do need to do something; the 90s-tastic kitchen is falling to bits, the first-floor flooring has holes in it and the bathroom is leaking so we need to get under the floor tiles to fix it - plus it doesn't actually have a bath in it, just a shower, (not in itself a deal breaker, but how I miss my baths!).

What are the cheapest/best value kitchen and bathroom companies? Has anyone bought a second-hand kitchen and lived to regret it? Any ideas on how to do this as cost-effectively as possible?

I bought a second hand kitchen on Gumtree for a renovation. It was brilliant and has lasted 5 years.

Ikea has some very cheap options which you could repurpose into a utility room when you do your big works
