Mould and condensation

We live in a 5 year old building and have constant issues with condensation and mould around our windows. Most of our windows are floor length and in the bottom corners it grows very quickly.

I've never loved anywhere this has been an issue (not originally from England either) and I can't work it out.

Since having children we heat the place a lot more but it doesn't seem to make a difference at all. Also with the rising costs I won't be able to have the heat on full blast in every room all day.

What are your recommendations? Any routines in regards to cleaning, airing and so on?

Thank you

how do you ventilate the room, and how do you dry the washing?

We have windows in every room but for the bathrooms. We use fans in those. Otherwise we just open the windows.

Laundry - we have no outside area so all inside. We have a tumble dryer and stuff we can't put in there goes on a clothes horse.

The more humidity in a room, the colder it is. It makes it impossible to heat no matter how much heat you pump into it.

It may seem counter productive, but I would leave a few key windows open a crack on the safety catch.

See if that helps.

Running a dehumidifier when you have washing drying is not ideal but not a huge cost and can address the issue

you mention a clothes horse.

draping wet washing inside your home generates a huge amount of water. How do you get it out?
