Why might a house not sell in the current market?

In a great catchment for outstanding schools and lovely village. Bit mystified. Any ideas?

I’m also bizarrely intrigued by the choice of coffee table in the living room, as it appears to be on rockers. If there is one piece of furniture I probably wouldn’t choose to be on rockers, it would be the one I regularly put glasses of wine and cups of tea on.

I think the photos are bad. Your house looks really dark. I'd ask for them to be redone.

I would guess the flooding issue.

It looks like a bit of an odd house shoehorned into the site. The other ones in the close are set back off the road, have more garden and space.

Also people expect a barn conversion to have a bit of tradition/character and it's been done up bland and modern. It doesn't have the greatest floor plan downstairs.

So unless it's cheap it may not have the edge over more normal houses.

What did you think OP? I'm overly invested in this thread as this house came up on my RM searches and we rejected it

The road is definitely an issue - and the views aren’t great either which is a shame as the surrounding countryside is beautiful.

It's over half a million quid for a house that is a flood risk on a busy road and its nearest town is Derby.

Has the world gone mad? That price is ludicrous.

When I went onto StreetView I got a pile of tyres in an admittedly quite high end car sales yard . But no matter how I twizzled the mouse I couldn't escape from it !
