A house that would tempt you back home

I have never considered returning to the area where I grew up. But if I could afford this house I would definitely consider it. Any properties that would tempt you back to your home area

I don't get why someone is linking to that Walthamstow house as if it's a wonderful example of a property? It's extremely ordinary. A bit tatty in parts (front fence, for example). No garden. Just a yard which overlooks the side of a house. Up here in the northwest lots of people live in houses like that. To me they're overpriced even here now, so when I see extremely ordinary houses at 750k I seriously think the world has gone mad.

I'm really trying to persuade husband to go and view it but he knows it will likely just be upsetting for me (I cried loads when I visited the church he designed) there's something about a building when you know the architect. They just 'feel' like them.
