Where's good value to live near the sea?

I am having a life changing set of circumstances in my life and I want to live somewhere where I can walk or cycle to the sea

For family reasons, a 3 bedroom detached house or bungalow with a garage

I have scoured Rightmove and seen plenty in and around Ashington and slightly south but they're unknown area's to me or my family

Would I fit in with a black partner I wonder?

Cost of ownership is vital with a top end of £275k cash. I can't get or want a mortgage at my age

Where would you recommend in the UK ?

TIA Smile

Anglesey.

Virtually the whole of the coastline is classed as an AONB, a good range of shops and facilities in the bigger towns of Holyhead, llangefni and Bangor, one of the sunniest and mildest locations in the UK and your budget of £275k would get you a very nice 3 bed detached in a nice coastal area.

What about northwest? Barrow? Walney Island?

East Lothian or even Scottish Borders. It's commuter distance from Edinburgh so fairly diverse.

Semi rather than detached, but a new build 3 bed in Walney barrow in Furness for £275K. Very near the sea and near lovely countryside too

NI, even the naice bits you'd find something at that budget. It's not ethnically diverse but pick a naice area and you'll be fine.
