better quality chrome is on solid brass. Some chrome items are on a cheaper alloy which is not as durable and may corrode if wet.
The specifications might say, or may mention the weight. I notice the touchpoint spec says it is made of grey alloy, which is an inferior material. It also looks like it has a push-on ring to conceal the fixing screws, these can jam and be impossible to remove without damage.
Better handles usually include a return spring, which prevents them flopping (noticable with levers) or feeling loose.
bolt-through fixing is a good point, but most handles have it these days. It is pretty essential if you have modern lightweight hollow doors.
Carlisle Brass is a good brand, sometimes overpriced.
See if they have a design you like in a carton of a dozen pairs or some such number, this can give a big saving.
