Talk taps to me

I love this tap:

But is there something wrong with it? Is this a faddy design where the water will get slowed down and not come out? Will I hate it if I get it?

Thanks!

I would say if you love it get it as long as where drilled into the work surface is a standard size.

To be honest it would not be my taste but if you love it - do it. What's the worst that could happen - years down the line you have to replace it - hence point about where it is put into the work top a standard size

Hmmm... I don't ever want to have to replace it.... but I've never seen this sort of design (very flat) in anyone's house before so I don't know if it works well.

I have a similar "flat style" bathroom sink tap. Works fine and looks great when it has just been cleaned and polished but the minute you start using it the water splashes show. It constantly looks as though it needs cleaning and we don't even live in a hard water area. If you are set on that style I would look at brushed rather than polished finish unless you are happy to polish the tap several times a day

We have flat ones like this in the bathroom. Scale builds up a bit on corners of the horizontal bits but I wouldn't worry too much. Get it if you like it and enjoy it.

We tend to get Bristan taps (DH thinks they are reliable) so I haven't used C&L ones.

I had a brushed version before and realised you can't use vinegar on those to clean off limescale.
