Terrible estate agents photos

What on the earth is going on in these photos? Can't believe the agents have used them. I know the person who is selling this house and have been inside. They haven't included the open feature fireplace in the living room. Don't show the kitchen is big enough to put a table in it, with lovely views over the garden. Why did they not move the hoover in the utility? At that asking price the photos really need to be spot on. www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/112476743?utm_campaign=property-details&utm_content=buying&utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_BUY

The owner can move there own hoover.

More than likely the photos would have been approved whoever is putting the property on the market so they are probably happy with them

The estate agent: “I fucking LOVE windows!!”

I had our house professionally photographed for sale this year and used their recommended snapper. The instructions were explicit. Remove every single piece of clutter... no loo roll, no towels, no photo frames. EVERYTHING put away, EVERYTHING.... it took me two days to tidy... but it looks awesome.

No idea on the price. The photos are awful. However, if I was looking at something like that it clearly needs completely renovating so as long as I can see the floor plan and room dimensions it wouldn't put me off as I would be ripping it all to pieces anyway. It looks like it has the potential to be absolutely gorgeous.

The photos don't make it look great, do they? To the poster who commented that you don't get much sense of flow: did you look at the floorplan? It's a very traditional layout - basically it looks like a series of unconnected rooms because it IS a series of unconnected rooms!

It's a shame the photos don't show a nice feature like an original fireplace, but there is a photo of the kitchen showing a table and chairs. Not sure if that's been added since the OP posted?

Seems pricey for the area to me though. A family member sold near there very recently. Half the price for five bedrooms in MUCH better condition and with loads of original features like very grand fireplaces with classical columns. Admittedly this was a semi, but still!

@lastqueenofscotland

Wow that is pricey for a rough part of Oldham. Given there are some stunning houses of that size in Lees at the moment for a good chunk less I expect that will be on the market for a while…
I wouldn't call it "rough". It's not the "nicest" but I know it well and never had any trouble round there.
