Front door problems and original installer out of business

Can anyone give advice please?

Bought property in 2018. Front door installed by previous owners in 2017 with a 10 year warranty.

Front door has now dropped on hinges making it impossible to lock (it is currently locked and we aren't using it so no security problems).

But installer has gone out of business. Is there any recourse to be had or am I looking at getting in a new firm who might quote be £££'s?

Arghhhhhh

Does it mention FENSA on the warranty? I know FENSA is normally windows, but sometimes may cover doors too. When the company used by our previous owners had gone under & we had issues we our windows, we went via FENSA and didn't have to pay for the remedial works. Otherwise, I think you might have no option but to pay someone else to come to fix it - warranties are only (generally) valuable if the company remains trading.

The warranty would probably be no help anyway. It'll usually only apply to the original purchaser.

We have a double glazing repair man here who deals with front doors and locks and stuff. He's really good. Maybe Google to see if you have someone like that in your area.

Yes it does! I will pursue this as well. Thank you

Sadly it says that it would transfer to future owners of the house :(

We had this with all our windows. Normally a company that goes out of business, double glazing/door wise, gets bought up by another. Have you tried Googling the company name to check. Mine was bought up by another and they then came out and done the repairs to the windows.
