Wren kitchens

We are having an unbelievably bad experience with Wren kitchens. Is it bad luck, has anyone used them and had a good service? Or have we chosen badly.

My fitter said they used to have a terrible reputation. But have really upped their game in the last few years.

Forgot about the socket Issue I had. Neither wren or The fitter realised I'd loose two essential sockets. It wasn't till they were filled in and I mentioned them being replaced, that no one had planned the electrics. We worked out a lam that was a good compromise. Because it was too late by that time.

I have a close relative who's a builder. He absolutely hates fitting Wren kitchens as there's guaranteed to always be a problem. They're the worst, apparently.
We had a quote from them several years ago but we had a bad feeling from them. Relative told us to avoid like the plague.

Our fitter had no problems with them whatsoever and said they were much of a muchness with Howdens and very popular now.

@Toddlerteaplease - we planned the electrics and plumbing separately with our electrician and plumber before finalising the design with Wren then tweaked them with the trades before they finalised their quotes.

I think it was more the fitters mistake rather than Wren's. He also said there was little difference between wren and Howdens. I didn't like Howdens pricing structure and couldn't get an appointment so didn't t bother with them.

I don't know many who've used them but those who have don't have a good word to say about them.

It does get complicated, my head was spinning with it all.

We were forced to use them as we wanted to alter a kitchen that was here when we moved in this year.
Apparently Wren have funny sizing when it comes to their cabinets so other manufacturers doors and drawers won't fit.

They were a nightmare, telling us we couldn't order extras as we didn't buy the original kitchen, we had one person telling us we could get what we wanted then another saying it wasn't made any more, the prices of everything we wanted changed depending on who we spoke to and no one was polite.

When we eventually ordered what we wanted, it arrived late and broken and had to be sent back which led to outright rudeness from the staff.

At one point we seriously considered replacing the kitchen altogether just so we didn't have to deal with them anymore. Never again.

@BlueMongoose

If the electricians read the plans wrong, they they need to be told to come right back and redo first fix. If Wren got them wrong, they they need to pay the electricians to come back and redo first fix.
Wren drew up the plans wrong - misread architects plans
