Advice on TRVs needed

A while ago I replaced all my TRVs with Drayton Wiser ones, which are controlled by an app. In order to install these I had to buy some adapters due to difference in size between the old TRVs and the Drayton ones. My house is old and over 4 floors so it was, in theory, a great way of controlling the temperature on each floor better. However in reality, some struggle to keep the WiFi connection and some just don't seem to be reliably responding even though they look to be on the app.

Ideally I'd like to get rid of the app and go back to normal TRVs - can I just replace with any Drayton ones and continue using the adaptors or will I need to remember what I previously had?

the most common Drayton valve is the TRV4, a very good valve.
It has been selling for 20 years or more and is very popular
have a look at some pics and see if your are

you may find it cheaper to buy complete valves and swap the heads rather than buy just heads as "spare parts"

If you are not sure, buy a couple and see if the heads fit.

Always screw the heads all the way up to reduce pressure before you try to fit or remove them.

edit

ah, I misunderstood.

Look at the technical drawing of your existing valve, and the TRV4, on their website, or ask their service desk, to see if the dimensions and the threads on the fittings are the same.

If you like the idea of Wifi valves but it's just the fact it's not working then installing a MESH network, like BT WholeHome may well sort your Wifi problems out and might make you reconsider getting rid of the Wifi valves.

In our (large) house we now get very good WiFi everywhere.
