Treatment for wooden kitchen surfaces

What’s the best treatment for wooden surfaces? Mine are fairly new but there are a few marks, and patches where the oil/varnish is damaged. Is it linseed oil I should use? Can’t tell what was used originally but it’s not too shiny.

Use a specific kitchen worktop finish, they are more expensive than standard finishes but withstand heat and moisture better. Rustin's and Osmo are both well respected brands.

Osmo oil is great - ours are oak and year old now and unmarked by red wine or curry!

We used rustin's plastic coating.
Makes the wood quite shiny which might not be what you are after. But extremely durable if you put a few coats on.

We use Osmo oil on our oak tops. You can get it on Amazon.

Thanks everyone. Is Osmo oil less shiny than Rustins?

Osmo oil is insanely expensive. I used Danish oil which is water repellant and not too shiny, the colour of the wood when wet is close to the colour it ends up. Linseed oil is ok but sticky.
