If so are you pleased with the results?

Did you DIY or get a professional in?

Any tips ...?

Worst idea. Worst idea for a bathroom... well, 2nd behind carpet.
Even on cork tiles which say they are suitable for a bathroom, their fine print will say that humitidy should stay below 60%. In a bathroom, you are very very likely to go above that. They also say they should not be cleaned in any way that gets them wet, so no mopping etc. Because, they're not meant to get wet. In a bathroom... what do you think happens to the floor?

Even if you seal them really really well, cork tiles flex. When they flex, the seals are broken.

Very bad idea.

You will probably regret it. TheWoleb is right. They also smell after a while.

Interesting. The bathroom they would go in does not have a shower and is well ventilated, so I don't think humidity is an issue. You can buy waterproof cork I thought?

Maybe it has improved since we removed it from last house. Some of the cork tiles I just looked at looked quite nice.

We had cork tiles for 7 years. I liked them. Nice underfoot and no smells. Couldn't tell you which sort though sorry.

We had waterproof ones in a tiny bathroom years ago. We laid them ourselves and loved them. They didn't smell in the four years we were there. They felt lovely underfoot.

We put cork tiles in our bathroom 8 years ago (DIY job). Love them. Warm under foot. Don't smell. Haven't rotted. Lots of colour choices

But you should know that Mumsnet has hated cork flooring since it was in fashion in the 1970s.

My parents have cork tiles put down years and years ago, sealed with yacht varnish - have lasted really well and are warm underfoot

Well. Our house was built in 1979 with cork tiles in the bathroom and they've only just gone fuckup, which I think is a (surprisingly) good innings. They, er, don't smell. At all.
