The Price of Shutters

I've been quoted £1000 for plantation style shutters for one patio window.

Does that sound reasonable to anyone who's bought some recently?

It sounds a lot to me but I have no clue how much they cost. I'd really appreciate other opinions.

The shutters are on a sort of twizzling track that means the four sections can fold perpendicular to the window - which is what I need because of space constraints. I think it makes them a bit more expensive.

I've just had these done plus two upstairs windows for £1900 (these are bistro style as getting stained glass on the top windows.

You can save a packet if you have them made to measure & do the actual fitment yourself - they are honestly a piece of cake to fit.

Just had shutters fitted on two sets of bifold doors (one big set, one smaller set) plus a round window shutter and then pull down recessed blinds on 5m x 2m windows for just under £4.5k.

I’ve just had cafe style (lower half) on a bay window and paid £1000 so think yours is good value.

Thanks so much everyone. Sounds like it's a decent deal then.

I did think of fitting them myself but I am truly hopeless at measuring and I'm just really doubtful that I'd get something that I could actually use Grin

That sounds good value, my patio sized window with a centre rail was £1200 a couple of years ago.
