CCTV where there is no wifi or electric

Can anyone help - we have a rural village cricket club where we are experiencing difficulties with youths hanging around after dark. Every now and again they damage things (if they were causing no harm we would just leave them be), apparently last night were climbing on top of the roof of the changing rooms (which is an old container), which is also dangerous.

We want to put some cctv down there as a deterrent and to try and move them on to somewhere else. Can anyone recommend a cctv that is perhaps battery or solar powered as we do not have electricity to the site?

You can get fake cctv cameras, which might be the one for you - but alternatively, one of the Ring cameras comes with a solar charger.

@LBOCS2 smashing thank you - would it need the wifi though being Ring?

Have a Google for farm CCTV.

You can also get battery charged cctv which you just recharge every now and then

We use Eufy cameras - they last 6 months before you need to recharge

I went to an off grid site recently and their cameras were mounted on posts with small solar panels above them. No idea if they worked but I thought it seemed a good solution for off grid locations.

We used these when we lived rurally

But just realised if you don't have electricity you probably don't have WiFi either !!

Are you looking for a camera that just records or maybe one with a SIM card that can still connect but not over WiFi (we used Reolink for this)?

There are several systems that are battery powered with the image being transmitted by SIM card (as PP said). I design Security Systems and I have had to propose this for a couple of sites while we wait for power to be installed.

You don't own them, they are generally on a leased/rented agreement.
