Piglet John knurling advice

I would really appreciate advice from PJ and anyone else with first hand opinions of Crosswater industrial chrome taps with knurling detail. I am about to buy a gorgeous set but we live in a hard water area and I don’t have the necessary funds for a water softening system . Does this crosshatching detail result in a crusty limescale layer ? I know limescale remover invalidates any guarantee. I was deterred from brass by the idea of a green crusty build up and I don’t want to make an expensive mistake .

I live in a very hard water area and I wouldn't go for anything like this.
Plain and simple is easier to maintain.

Oh god I agree with pp.

I have no opinion (sorry OP) or knowledge of the tap you are asking advice for, but thank you. I had never heard of Crosswater and I have now discovered a kitchen tap with a 15 year guarantee for the same price I have spent on 2 separate taps over the past 7 years which have been absolutel crap!!

Knurling is to make things easier to grip, so I suppose it might be useful if you had wet soapy hands and had made the mistake of buying taps with no capstan to turn.

Yes, of course dirt and limescale will accumulate in the texture.

Sorry

I was obviously feeling grumpy.

The tap you mention has a lever you can grip even with wet hands, so the knurling is just ornamental.
