Internal doors to separate through lounge?

Our 1920s semi has been knocked through to be open plan from front to back downstairs. I don't think we'd change that, as the front of the house gets all the light and the back would be really dark without that light coming through from the front. Usually we're happy with it but as our kids are now not far from entering teens, it would be nice to have a space that can be shut off a bit. Was thinking of maybe putting some kind of internal glazed doors. Has anyone done anything similar or could recommend something?

We have internal glazed doors. They're double and we usually have one open so it's folded against the shut one. We have both open if we have lots of people over or are moving furniture. I hated them and always wanted to get rid of them until lockdown when I fell in love with being able to section off the otherwise open plan downstairs. Due to some other building work we need to get done, we're going to have to replace them and the builder has recommended translucent glazing which, according to him, let's as much light through but is slightly glazed so you can't see into each room. As one of our sets of doors leads into the playroom, this could be amazing as I hate being sat on the sofa of an evening able to see a half built lego model or something

All of our downstairs doors are glazed 15 light style as listed above (apart from Downstairs loo). It’s made a massive difference to light levels. You can also pick them up for about £20 on Facebook marketplace

I'd look at obscured glass myself - doors with blinds work too if they need privacy. Something like doubleglazingontheweb.co.uk would be ideal to find them for cheap I think
