Silly to have radiator next to door?

We are moving the radiator in our living room, as it is currently sitting behind one of our sofas. Under the windows wouldn't work as we have floor length curtains. Is it silly to put the radiator next to the door?

I’ve got a tall one in the equivalent of D and it works incredibly well. The entirety of our downstairs is open plan, with tall radiators, and it heats up very quickly; I’ve never noticed a problem with plumes of heat.

Short curtains look really cheap - please don’t ruin your by chopping them off. In some Victorian houses I’ve been in, I’ve seen lovely big tie back things where you can have the curtains closed, but hook the bottom half around the tie backs to expose the radiator.

But I would still go for D, with the door hung the opposite way. It makes more sense for it to open that way, anyway
