Very large mirror at the entrance landing. Good idea?

Hi, We have a blank wall at the entrance/ landing (see the pic). We are debating between the 2 options -

option 1) (DH idea) Very large mirror that stretches across the wall. This will brighten the room and will add X factor at the entrance. We have found a framed one that perfectly fits that space. We have a door stopper to prevent the door from banging the wall/ mirror. I'm still worried.

option 2) Smaller round mirror may be 90cm dia. But DH says that is very common and doesn't add any X factor :-)

What are your thoughts and may be any further suggestions.

Don't worry. If your children are adults, your near vision will be going so you won't be able to see yourself clearly anyway. Only perk of getting older!🙂🙃🙂

I like the idea but the actual mirror seems very chunky for the space. If it was my house I’d be tempted by either a window type mirror (like people often have in gardens eg www.gardentrading.co.uk/home/home-accessories/indoor-mirrors/fulbrook-mirror-120-x-80cm.htm?utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&productid=7604&gclid=Cj0KCQjw7MGJBhD-ARIsAMZ0eev4vobYhvVsiWoufvxdh37CKrs29lWL1z0jeQR7v4b2cZf2XRrWTbUaApLIEALw_wcB) or a gallery wall of smaller mirrors covering the wall floor to ceiling.
