Do you live in a really old house?

I live in Australia and our oldest houses are largely from the end of the nineteenth century. In another thread someone mentioned their house was from the 16th century ( I think?, can't actually remember the century).
I'm fascinated by this and wonder if any of you live in a property with a long history? Any drawbacks to living in such old buildings?

Our thatched cottage is always warm, think its the thatch, it scored surprisngly well on the energy efficiency certificates. Our cat purred everywhere in the cottage her first time there as it has so many nooks and crannies just the size of a cat.

The cat looks really happy anyway, licking wet food off her nose!🤣. That little pink tongue!

For the first few years the sheer size and number of spiders would astonish me but I quite like them now. They kill the wasps!

Our house is early Georgian - 1715 - and the people who first renovated it about 40 years ago had a local historian do a full house history which we have and is really interesting.

I've had people try and tell me that the house has ghosts but I have never seen one.
