Hi, what do you think of my kitchen plan?

imgur.com/a/XHRw7tQ

It’s minimal - a row of floor to ceiling cabinets on the right, a 3.2m island with a hob, and a row of low units on the back wall. All the appliances are integrated.

It’s 1/3 of an open plan kitchen living space which is 11x6m in total. The kitchen area is 6 x 3.5m.

I centralised the sink and hob. I think the working triangle is probably too big, but kitchen is on show to the rest of the house so I’m trying the balance the practical with the aesthetic.

I like the general layout but would re think the choice and placement of some of the appliances

Don’t understand the point of two dishwashers

Would personally choose a large double door fridge/freezer and one under counter freezer, rather than single tall fridge and separate under counter freezers. Or if you want this combination then I’d put the freezers in more of a “secondary” location such as utility room or further away in the kitchen.

Would put the ovens somewhere else - the space next to the hob will be much better used for storage for things like chopping boards, knives, cooking utensils, gloves/aprons, more pans, etc.

I would choose a pull out bin rather than one that goes under the sink as it will be much larger and easier to use. I’d put the bin in one of the “oven” spots or the second dishwasher spot

Lastly if you only want 3 breakfast stools then why not add some drawers or cabinets to the right of the stools, facing the rest of the room

Your working triangle is very similar to mine which works well IME. However my island is smaller and my hob is further towards the fridge than yours - so the hob and sink are slightly offset which is more ergonomic (means my island is asymmetric but I’m ok with that) and I guess it means the working triangle is a bit smaller too

thanks minipie - a lot of what you said is spot on and I've tweaked the layout accordingly. I moved the freezers to the end of the kitchen, put the ovens on the tall wall of units and moved the bin to next to the sink.

The room is open plan so I'm going for two dishwashers to keep clutter. to an absolute minimum. I don't have one now and I can't wait!

From experience two full size ones might be overkill. I had 2x45vm ones two kitchens ago and that was perfect. ( dishwashers )
I'd be adding in more drawers as the ones under the hob will be C shape to allow for ducting. Also don't let people sit behind hob when you cook. Burns are horrible.

I have 2 dishwashers and now find myself trying to fit a third in, they are fab.

if you want 2 dishwashers, you might want 2 small ones so that they fill up quickly & run quickly.

are you sure there is enough space for rubbish & recycling etc? those could easily take up more than the under-sink space.

freezers aren't something that you open & close for every meal. I might put them in a corner & put more useful drawers / cupboards in that prime location.

There is not very storage is there are no wall units.
Definitely move at least one freezer to a low traffic area.
I would say you have too much high activity concentrated around the hob and sink.
If someone wants to open oven at same time as dishwasher is being unloaded, that's 2 open doors in a confined area.
