Underfloor heating in kitchen potential issues???

We have electric underfloor heating already laid in our extension the full length and are now looking at getting a new kitchen with an island but have been informed that there might be issues with this but nothing elaborated. We don’t use the underfloor heating very often and zoned it so we don’t have the whole floor on when not in that section. We was thinking of putting vents in the plinths but not sure issues could arrive with putting an island over electric underfloor heating does anyone have any advice. Much appreciated

Is it to do with laying new flooring or needing to bang nails in the floor rather than an issue with the heating itself?

It’s more to do with the heat under the units. The island wouldn’t be fixed or drilled into the floor and the tiles are already down. But tried Googling it and not much about it mentions something about potential hotspots but unsure what that actually means and would have thought vents in plinths would resolve that? We just didn’t know the layout of the kitchen when we laid it so went the whole way across.

I lived in a house with underfloor heating and used to get rashes on my feet because of it.
Anyway, why don't you just get a freestanding island with feet or do you want a sink or cooker or something in it?

That was potentially the other option will have to see if that’s an option with the kitchen company but was trying to find out what will potentially happen if we did put an island over it as it’s hard to find out by googling.
