Covering unused dryer vent hole

Paging @PigletJohn or any knowledgeable folks!

We're replacing our old vented dryer with a condenser. How do we cover up the vent hole? Is there anything we can buy to cover it up?

There are plastic grill covers for cooker hood vents that you could put on the outside wall. They have baffles that stop anything flying in.

yes, a grille inside and out will be fine.

if it is in a space that benefits from ventilation, you can leave the grilles open. A "hit and miss" vent on the inside can be switched from open to closed.

May be listed as "vent" rather than "grille"
example

You can paint the plastic to tone with your bricks if you want. Do it before fixing. Use stainless or brass screws to avoid rusting.

If you really want to, you can have it bricked up, and the inside replastered, but it is pretty sure to show, and, if a cavity wall, rubble may fall into the cavity.

Thanks @PigletJohn, would I put a vent on both the inside and outside?

yes, it will look neater and cover up a dust trap.
