What do you call this strip / cover on the threshold, the beige coloured bit with the screws in. It is of a plastic material and as you can see has a crack along one edge. I want to replace it but can't find anything similar anywhere but it doesn't help that I don't know what it is called. Can anyone help name and source this? Thank you

Door edging strip / threshold edging strip - basically a piece of wood. Unscrew, take to B&Q, ask them to cut a piece to size.

@Mantlemoose it is not wood. It is some sort of plastic. I have searched B&Q both online and in store and can't find anything similar

Have a look at screwfix.

'threshold strip'

I think it's a water bar, intended to prevent rain blowing under the edge of the door. not very popular as you might trip on them

if you want a replacement, I think a hardwood strip (called "stripwood" in the sheds) would look fine, I have one, treated with timber preserver and a woodstain to match the sill. But my sill is hardwood so it is easier to match. You could paint it brown or black if you prefer. The screws are liable to go rusty so re-use the old ones if in good condition. Plastic doors and windows often use stainless screws to avoid rust. It is in a position liable to get wet.

On wooden doors, the bottom of the door is sometimes half-cut out in a sort of "L" shape, fitting against a strip on the sill, or on plastic doors you can use a brush or rubber fin draught excluder on the bottom of the door to fit against it.
