Rough cost of removing wallpaper and replastering

Has anyone recently had wallpaper stripped off the walls, and then had the walls plastered and made ready for painting?

I'm trying to assess what the cost is likely to be for a medium-sized room, and then whole house. Thank you!

I don't agree you have to look for it to see the joins. I see them immediately, in every house that's had it. Maybe I'm just very sensitive to it. Thank you @Farevalah for the £5k, that's helpful to know! I'll have to budget big by the sound of it Sad

We have a few bits of that 1920s/30s wooden beading, and curved corners, and like you, TiddelTaddleTat, I like them and I'm keeping them, but the plaster has come away in those places due to being heavily papered in the past so it does mean a lot of annoying filling. It's far worse here where some 'person' ripped out old picture rails- and I really do mean ripped out, taking a lot of plaster with it- and just bunged on a bit of filler/plaster roughly without preparation and then papered over it. The filler comes off with the paper, leaving huge scars. I'm thinking of taking out shares in the filler manufacturer. Hmm
