Wise Mumsnetters advice needed

During 2020 I had to sell my house to get us through zero income caused by Covid. We were renting elsewhere as mu house was not high enough to comfortably house the family.

DH finally got a new job in London ... hurrah!! Much better paid, which is Great as I do not work as I am caring for 18 month old twins. We moved into London too.

A great new housing site has come up. Being built next to a beautiful nursery and primary school with Outstanding Ofsted ... but its shared ownership.

We fit the shared ownership criteria perfectly, earning less than £90k per annum. Thing is, I have proper rubbish credit history, to the point the mortgage advisor advised I don't go on the mortgage atall as my poor credit will cost us in higher interest mortgage.

So, theres the history, and here's the actual question. What rights to the property will I have? We are married, but only DH on the 50% mortgage. Other 50% owned by housing association.

What should I do to ensure I'm not left high and dry should the first happen with me and DH?
