Two terraced houses (next to each other) sold on the same date

I wonder what would you think - same owmner for both terraces?
One was actually sold next day after the other - or aer the completion dates not the same as Land regisrty dates?
I'm buying the end of terrace, and been asking the vedors whether next door is rented out or do the owners live there - they claim they are not sure state the neighbours are nice. But if they did buy the two together, surely they would know?
I just wonder if there could be anything slightly dodgy at all (not sure what tbf) as why wouldn't they just say they owned both? And if it was someone who bought same day, why not menton that - in terms of being such a coincidence? Last sold only a few years ago.

Pay £3 for a land registry search to find the owner. It could be that they were both previously owned by the same person who decided to sell them both and the sales went through within a day of each other.

I don't see why it matters. You often get houses close to each other which sell at the same time, why think there is anything dodgy about it?

I know someone who bought four small houses in a terrace - the terrace actually consisted of those four houses. She knocked two into one, which is where she lived, at the end of the terrace; the other two she let to support herself in retirement. Very sensible and they were lovely little houses, no doubt they still are.

It doesn't matter who bought the houses in your road, op, it really doesn't. Anyway you will find out in due course, when someone moves in.

thanks, Plum - I just wanted tyo know whether it was rented out next door or owned - but when asked the vendor was vague, so I just wonder why takig into account that I thought my vendots boight them both. It's jt who owns them that I care about, it's more strange tey wouldn't tell me one way or the other. I thought my vendors may own and rent out the next door wgile they sold one to me, I just find it strnge they wouldn't say so and clam they are 'not sure'.

Flump I probably will - I just toigjt if they solds to two different buyers (same seller) what are the chances they bothh could compltet on same day - hence I thougfh my vendors bought both (but don't want yo say for some reason?).

Er - OK, fine, Cat.

Must be a nice terrace if so many people want to buy a house there - or even if one person wants to buy several.

(I am quite interested in an end of terrace house at the moment, which was previously let. It's a really sweet, quaint and quiet little road but just round the corner to a high street. I quite fancy living there but the chances are that by the time I get my act sorted, it will be gone. Such is life.)

Two houses near us sold together recently. The buyer is knocking through, rather than renting one out. How they managed to get both at the same time boggles me!

Yes I would assume they are wanting to knock them through.
