We are looking to get a new kitchen for a recently purchased house. We are doing major renovation on the house ( it was in a complete state when we bought it) wren customer service was
Horrible- got a lot of hard sale, howden’s pricing is just messed up, can’t be bothered with the mind games. IKEA doesn’t have any appointments in London until mid September,Indi kitchens are too expensive.. so Left with B&Q.

I can’t see much reviews online and our builder says the quality is rubbish. Can anyone please give me b&q reviews good or bad.. and if you can add a pic of your kitchen even better!
We are considering navy abd cabinets with ice blanco quartz for top, and grey tile flooring... please help

I’ve heard awful things about b&q - sorry! I’ve also had friends with bad experiences of Wren too.

Wickes are meant to be good.

I just had exactly what you’ve described from Magnet. If you’d like a pic then PM me - so many friends have seen it that it would be outing!

Absolutely avoid!! Used in my first house and lots of bits missing and when I chased handles and managed to speak to an actual person I got told they weren’t in stock anywhere so they just charged me and didn’t give me anything and was absolute hell trying to get a refund, eventually ended up with a £100 gift voucher which I didn’t want to use due to poor service and quality.
2nd home went to have the free design appointment just to see if anything had improved in 5 years, it went terribly and their design was awful they couldn’t even line the cabinets up on the software and were all over the place and gave poor advice on positioning and cupboard choices.

Have you looked at BAC kitchens or kitchens123.co.uk? I've not used them but a friend used BAC kitchens and thought they were great. We're in the process of buying and will likely want to get a new kitchen so going to explore them both.

DIY kitchens are very good. Also worth looking at @interiorantidote kitchen highlight story on Instagram - she got a devol kitchen from Used Kitchen Exchange.

My sister has just had a kitchen from B&Q
It looks lovely, but not as good quality as the one I'm having from Wren.

Toddlerteaplease · 10/08/2021 17:20

Surprised about Wren doing the hard sell. I got none of that. They've been fab. Agree about Howdens. There is nothing with a price in their catalogue and that's annoying.

Pepelepettigrew · 10/08/2021 17:58

We have one put in by a previous owner, not to our taste but too good to take out. The kick boards are flimsy as anything but actually the cupboards are fine. It is a cheap kitchen but we have had no issues with it at all.

They are one of the lowest ones in the Which reviews for both quality and customer service.

We've just had a Wren kitchen delivered and fitted by our own builders. No hard sell whatsoever, the design process was excellent and the staff were helpful whenever we went to the showroom. Delivery was exactly when it was supposed to be and there was one item which needed replacing, very easy to organise online and arrived by courier the next day. The quality seems decent enough too but time will tell.

Oh and get your quartz from an independent stone place, there are lots of them, you will get more choice and better prices.

Yes Wren does do a hard sell. Benchmarx do Wickes kitchens and are worth going to if you have one nearby. They are cheaper than Howdens but do the same product without as many of the mindgames.

billybullshitterz1n · 10/08/2021 18:19

We've just ordered one from Wikes. Had on good authority from a kitchen fitter they are good

Panickingpavlova · 10/08/2021 18:29

I had two fitters in back to back, one said the don't touch Wren with a barge pole, they are ex mfi, hard sell and massively inflated prices, he said for a customer who insisted he got thousands off their price!! Like 15 off.
Next fitter said Wren are the best quality!
Some on phone said howdens best quality.
But we see from the mn many fitters are impressed with DIY kitchen and their quality.

I've been to magnet, howdens, b and q, ikea, home base and I'm going with DIY.

Our current kitchen in our house is wren.. we git the units at 2500( 16) after being quoted 9000.. that was 3 yer ago.. we went to wren frost as soon as we exchanged on new house.. same branch but different designer, And the service was appalling.. I really didn’t like the way they were slagging off the other retailers as part of their sales pitch... we didn’t get that the first time... dh is set
On b&q cos he thinks material is the same and it’s cheaper.. I’m worried that we are spending thousands on renovation and I don’t want kitchen to look cheap just for a few thousand
