Hi, I just want some advice or opinions on this, I am in a flat on the first floor of a converted house. Though it is two bed, just the rooms etc layout does not allow for much storage space. In some properties it just seems like there are little handy spaces here and there, if you know what I mean. I was in a shared house in the past, and despite only having a room, there was handy spaces within the room, and we also had storage under stairs etc and a cupboard in the recess in hallway. I have even lost out on under bed storage in the flat I am in now, as the silly agent went and put in a divan base with no storage, despite what we had discussed, I know when it is then furnishing a place, they will do as they please, but still annoying, none the less.
Now, the only thing about being on the first floor, is of course just like if you had the whole house, there is the loft, it was never mentioned, and I didn't question it until now, as to whether I can use it or not, I am a little bit put off because I am sure we have rodents, and because of course unless it is done out properly, you couldn't be going up there to store stuff otherwise you risk coming through the ceiling! And until I finally managed to get them to repair one side of the roof, we had pigeons in the loft, so I am wary that it could be quite mucky up there.
But of course on the other hand, if it was clean and safe to do so, this would open up storage space for me!
Do you think it is a good idea if I ask the management company or not.
Thanks for any replies, in advance.
