applied through Natwest directly and application submitted to underwriters , dont know why . application was accepted after done credit score etc i dont know whether its credit score accepted after hard credit check.

I am on sick leave from two months and permanently employed for more than 9 years and going back this month. out of 3 months payslip only one was normsl payslip and rest two were full pay with sick element.

Partner had promotion three months ago in same company and his new two payslips shown new pay.

Can anyone shed some light why it has gone to underwriting. i asked mortgage advisor as she kinda making notes even before credit check etc for underwriting , she said its normal procedure for Natwest.

I am stressing out and dont know how long its going to take and can they decline us ?

no problem with credit history but never checked any credit companies so i thought would be fine as never had anything decline like applying credit card and loans with high street lenders before .

We’re currently waiting on them, it’s been twelve days so far. It’s normal for NatWest, this is our third mortgage with them.

Their application process is so brutal thorough that I doubt the underwriters will find any issue the mortgage advisor didn’t. Try not to fret.

Oh also the underwriters have come back to us and asked for a whole years payslips, which is new. I imagine because of my furlough and DHs overtime.

Thank god atleast its not unusual. i have paid product fee for mortgage to secure rate and valuation as well on advice of MA.

I have reserved new build got only 28 days to sort this out.

Neither of us were on furlough. i hate this waiting of not knowing . i dont know how i am going to survive for next two weeks or so.
