Quartz / stone / Fenix worktops

Hello
We are trying to buy a solid worktop which will have a double Belfast sink in it.
Coming up a brick wall somewhat.
Love the look and feel of Fenix and had a quote of £1230. Would have been happy to pay this but subsequently read some poor reviews.
Any recommendations / reviews?

Any shops that do this in South Manchester/ Cheshire?

There’s a place called The Makeover Centre at Stanley Green industrial estate off the A34 at Cheadle. They have a huge selection and worth a look online at least.

We used a resin, can’t remember which one. Similar to Corian but less expensive. Anyhow it’s now cracked in two places along stress points. So I’ll never use that kind of work surface again.

DP just said it was called Minerva. I’d avoid that.

@Scotinoz thank you.
This sounds promising.

@FreeBritnee not heard of that one. Good to know to avoid.

We have Fenix, I have a love/hate relationship with it. I wanted something inexpensive as ours is a temporary kitchen for a couple of years before we extend.

It’s white and when it’s clean, looks great. It’s bombproof heat wise and can take the hottest pans or oven dishes being put straight on top of it. Cleaning it requires bleach spray to get it white again, nothing else seems to do the job but that lifts it instantly. I have a couple of scratches on it but haven’t tried ironing them out yet!

If I was having a forever kitchen I wouldn’t choose Fenix but I do like it.
