Laminate planks under radiators - which direction?

Sorry, an urgent query!
Have just asked the fitters to lay the laminate parallel to the radiators.
It's a click laminate laid on top of fibreboard underlay.
They're a bit grumpy today post-match so I want to get this right and not go back and forth between the flooring direction.
The reasoning behind parallel to radiator was - if there is an issue with the radiator pipes and we need to dig stuff up, it would damage 1-2 boards and we can click one back in.
Whereas if perpendicular, we would have more of the flooring affected.
It's 3 upstairs bedrooms with a connected hallway, so we're going for a single floor effect.
Is that right?
Which is better?
Thank you!

Forgot to attach images :)
Parallel is what I'm calling the direction in the first image (how I've asked them to install) and perpendicular is the second one.

You’re right. Going in the direction of the skirting board looks better.

Depends on what happens at the door, and whether you mind if the direction is different to the landing, and which is the narrowest bit of the room. I’d have them going across the narrower side to make the room look wider.

But I think your logic works, it just wouldn’t be top of my priorities.

It’s all about the hallway. You don’t want the planks going across the hallway, you want them along it. Everything then flows from that.

I like them across, depending on the hall. Smile I appreciate that might be unconventional though! You need to decide on that first though, I agree.
