What colours/style would suit this aga?

We are renovating a 1930's house, opening up the kitchen/diner. I plan to have the existing aga (currently packed up) in the new kitchen, but struggling with colours/styles that match/compliment it. I normally prefer a modern look, and hate old style shaker doors, but don't want something SO modern, that the aga looks out of place. Any thoughts or idea appreciated.

Not the units you are wanting, but this is what I did to create a light space.

Funny, I never thought of an oak colour. It might actually go, because part of the house is already oak! thanks.

Personally I'd leave it packed up and get something more usable. They look good and they're great for warming your backside, but make sure your kitchen also has a regular cooker for flexibility (both cooking temperatures and so you can switch off the aga in the summer).

I had this saved for tile inspiration - it's white rather than blue something like this might look nice. I know it's shaker style, but it still feels modern-ish

@stupidstupider- I do plan a 2nd oven. We are completely renovating a house we have never lived in, but putting in double glazing, insulation etc, so will likely turn it off in summer.

@Andthenanothercupoftea- I also never thought of multi-coloured tiles. Thanks.

My reason for not liking shaker style, is I previously had a small kitchen, with no outside window. The shaker groves would get filthy and were so difficult to clean. I assume this isn't such an issue in a larger kitchen, but its the cleaning that worries me.

Does anyone else find them a pain to clean?
