Ideas what to do for kitchen/diner?

The house I am buying has a small extension and a bay window. I would like an open plan kitchen but I think it looks odd on the back as it currently is. I don't have 30k for an extension but have 15k is there anything I could do?

A conservatory was suggested but as its part of the room would it be too hot in summer, lose heat in the winter.

I may just have to leave it odd.

The changes you've drawn in red look sensible, but I don't know what they cost. And if you knock down the walls for an open-plan kitchen, will you have to put in new kitchen units etc? Or will the existing layout still work?

If things are OK for the moment, maybe live in the house for 2/3 years and save as much as you can so that you can afford a better extension & new kitchen? It is silly to spend £15K on a mini-extension or conservatory now, if you'd have to pull it all down to do a better extension in a few years time.

Is there room for cupboard under the stairs?
If so i would move it and bring the door down to the hall.
Conservatory on the back, kitchen on the left, dining table and then corner sofa to the right of cons

This- makes good use of all the space.

I second @IncyWincy21's design.

Thanks I like the look of using under the stairs even though it will be slightly tillted roof.
Sounds expensive though. Maybe I am just better saving up for a while.

It will cost more than £15k to do that.

The little bit of wall in the middle of the kitchen and bay window will be load bearing and holding up the roof. So you will need to run a steal across the house and maybe one perpendicular to that if you remove the wall between the kitchen and diner and cupboards etc.

You may need to save up a bit more to do it all and new kitchen etc.

I thought about leaving that wall in but then that may look odd?
