Too early to move again?

Just wondered if anyone else would consider moving house again after one year if they felt they made wrong choice. We moved last year after trying to sell previous house for 3 years.
We found our current home and took 9 months for sale to go through due to lockdown. We now realise we made too many compromises main one being no garage which was important to DH for his motorbike so have had to store that elsewhere until we can get a secure storage shed. We have neighbours that don't understand our youngest autistic child and being in the corner of a cul de sac have 8 gardens surrounding us which is very stressful as he likes to throw things over fences.
I have found a house which would mean only one neighbour (I would have none of I could) but not directly connected drive or garden wise and open land on other side.

I would consider it and have done it before. If you can afford it and you're sure the next move will be the right one (or as sure as you can be that it will tick a lot more boxes) then I say go for it.

To be honest I feel slightly the same as you too and in a similar position. We compromised too much on this house which we only moved into a few months ago. If I could afford to and could do it practically then I may well consider moving quickly again too.

It sounds like moving would be right decision for you. If potential buyers ask why you’re moving so quickly I’d be honest without going into too much detail.

Agree, you'll get the questions of why you are moving so quickly as it makes people think something is wrong with the house or the neighbours.

It does happen though, plenty of threads on here about people who have compromised too much and aren't happy.

I think at the moment many people will move on fairly shortly after a move simply because they had to settle on something that they might not normally choose rather than loose their own house sale
I honestly don't see any problem with frequent moving , I improve where I'm living then sell up and move on , I love houses and I love moving , I have a bunch of like minded friends who do the same with their houses - staying somewhere between 1 to 4 years between moves

Thanks for replies. We took so long to find a genuine buyer for last house we definitely didn't want to lose the sale and there was not a lot available in our area. I am definitely a serial mover and my youngest daughter 15 has lived in 5 houses up to now.

The first house we bought we lived in for 16 months and the second for three years.

I don't think I've ever come across somebody who loves moving!
