Farrow & Ball vs. Little Greene - help!

I know this has been discussed already, but I couldn't find a recent thread, so forgive me for starting another.

I'm trying to decide between F&B and Little Greene for our Edwardian house. I think some decorators haven't liked F&B in the past (?) but I'm not sure why not? The lady in the interiors shop said lots of people now prefer Little Greene, but I just don't like the colours as much.

Help! 🆘

I just don't think we'll do estate emulsion - or the LG equivalent - anywhere in the house. We have matte Laura Ashley in our bedrooms at the moment and it's so easily scuffed. I really can't be living my life worrying about this in our next house.

Our FB livingroom is in Cornforth white, and it's not shiny at all despite being modern emulsion. PPs have said it looks shinier when it's a darker colour?

Btw I've emailed LG about colour matching FB and will report back if they do this. I would find it a bit strange if they did tbh - why would they bother promoting a rival brand?

My decorator loves farrow and ball but says it's trickier to apply. You have to do it in a particular way and give it time between coats. Ours has worn really well. We're about to get some painting done but we're using an LG paint purely down to colour. It'll be interesting to see the difference.
