Hello All,
I can't get hold of my solicitor right now and he didn't instruct me on this so I was wondering if someone could enlightenment me.

I'll be living at the property along with my partner. I'm the only one taking mortgage. Does my partner have to sign on Occupier's consent and postponement deed?

Yes if they will be living there. My 18 year old daughter had to sign.

Thanks. Can I also ask if witness (individual, not a firm) has to write address on this document?

Yes, it had to be witnessed. The solicitor wrote to my daughter separately and advised her to take independent legal advice to make sure she understood what she was signing (she didn't) as basically they are signing away their rights to their home as in the case of you defaulting on the mortgage and the house being re-posessed they can be made homeless.
