Repressurise Boiler help!

Hello MN!

I wasn't sure where else to put this and a very mundane topic but any advice for repressurising boiler? I am using an internal key and when I turn it LOADS of water comes out. I've done this before and drained the water and had the gauge go up. However today I must have had about 2L come out and the gauge isn't working. Will I have to call an engineer or can this be normal?

Thanks for your help!

Sounds like you have a leak into the pressure tank thingy. I think it might be an engineer job. However, definitely worth trying @PigletJohn who is the oracle on all things like this!

what does the gauge say the pressure is atm ? where is the water coming from ?
what is the make of the boiler ?

Yeah it doesn't seem to leak usually it's just when I turn the little nut to repressurise it I am getting a lot of water coming out. I'm sure this happened last time I did it but the gauge actually did move although everything I'm reading is that it shouldn't leak at all!

@billysboy It is Worcester boiler. The gauge is currently sitting at 0.5. The hot water in my shower has stopped working in the last day. I've removed the cap to get the internal filler off, put that into the little lock position and turned the nut and it seems to be coming from multiple different places, I had to hold a bowl under the little nut to catch it all!

When we had this the pressure chamber had an air leak and so filled with water and had to be replaced.

It wasn’t too expensive to fix the part. The callout cost more.
