Paint mixing

Hi Everyone. I'm wanting to get some paint mixed but never done it before. Can I got to B&Q and ask for a particular brand and colour to be mixed or is that a no go. Do I physically need to buy the branded paint sample, paint it on some paper and take that in for them to match? Thank you for your advice

I don't know about matching branded paint in B&Q, they certainly have colour cards where you choose one and they'll make it up. Brewers will colour match to another brand, say F&B, and you just say which colour you want.

It's brand specific, and different shops do different brands.

Dulux do paint mixing in lots of places - you can find where on their website

this gives you the option to either get a huge range of colours mixed up for you, or to take in something for them to match (needs to be a hard item, not fabric)

you might find what you want already made via paint chips, samples etc ... that is much cheaper

This website is useful ... once you find a colour you like, you can get options of similar colours from other brands

We always use valspar by B&Q.
They can accurately match any colour from a tiny sample
