Removing mock Tudor wood

We’re on an estate where most of the houses are a similar style - dark wood windows and doors with some mock Tudor cladding on the front.

The house is now 30 years old and the wood is rotting. It looks shit. Ideally we would like to remove the mock Tudor wood completely and have it re-rendered, without replacing the wood.

Does anyone know if there’d be anything that might stop us doing this? We’ve had a look through our deeds and can’t find anything about changing the overall appearance of the house, but nobody else nearby has done what we’re thinking of (which I find quite surprising as a lot of the houses have been done up/renovated recently).

I know some estates have restrictive covenants around this sort of thing, which is why we’re a bit wary of doing it.
