House with electrical substation next to garden - would you buy?

As above basically! Seen a house that ticks a lots of boxes in a market where there isn't a lot coming on, but there is a small electrical substation at the bottom of the garden. Not in the garden but right next to it - one wall forms part of the boundary. My worry isn't about safety as such, but more re-sale value and whether it would put future buyers off/ affect house price. Size is about 3x3m in a small brick building. No noise that I noticed but wasn't massively listening for it. Would really appreciate different people's thoughts about whether you would consider it?

My old house (sold 2 years ago) backed onto a substation. I liked it as it meant my garden had a wall at the back instead of a fence. Never really thought about resale etc. We bought it as it was an end terrace!

I withdrew an offer on a house after noticing its adjacent sub station. It still sold really quickly though.

You didn’t notice it?!

Thanks so much again to everyone who added on to this. Lots of different perspectives to think about. The house wasn't priced any differently and it wasn't pointed out, it was my DH that noticed it, so could be a negotiation point if we want to go there.

@Sometimesfraught82 nope as it was sealed bids only, they had to be in by a certain time and I made an offer without having physically seen the property beforehand. I was 4 hours away and the sub station was concealed by trees and bushes on good maps !

Most people get confused between substations and overhead power lines, most reports point to overheads causing health issues, if you take the time to look around you’ll notice them everywhere and many large new build estates have them in brick buildings attached to houses so unlikely to cause an issue we are not aware of, they do make a buzzing noise this is due to the power vibrating the cables which tends to be slightly worse when raining but like lots of other noise you tend not to notice after a while and you cannot really hear it unless you stand next to them

If it was going to effect resale then it’s already done that op and you’re getting it cheaper because of it,
