Anyone bought a second hand kitchen?

Thinking of doing this as we can't afford a new one, just to tide us over a year or so until we can afford.

Would a fitter be willing to fit a second hand one? Would it be an inconvenience to them?

Have you tried ikea op? People often rave about their kitchens and they're not too spenny... alternatively, Wren offer 0% finance for up to 7 years!

Yes, we bought a second hand kitchen. My dh started fitting it and then I git a fitter to finish the job.

I had to buy a couple of extra wall cupboards but it's been really good - in fact I could upgrade now but I'm not sure I can face the upheaval again and I am very happy with what I have ( although it wouldn't win any design awards!!)

I've seen some very reasonably priced ones on Facebook market place and eBay, I just wondered how a it would work with a fitter etc.
Seriously considering it though Smile

How much is reasonably priced?
Have you looked at gower rapide and symphony kitchens?
Gower rapide make the cheapest kitchens but the quality is good. It’s what builders fit in new houses. Avoid drawers to keep the coats down. A basic 7 unit L shape starts at £700.

@mayblossominapril I'll check them out now, thank you

We did, and got a huge solid wood kitchen for £400. We had to help dismantle and move it. Our fitters were fine with it, though they were doing a much bigger house renovation for us at the time. They made one or two small mistakes installing it but nothing that bothers us. My top tip would be to buy one that's bigger than your own kitchen so you have room for decisions/mistakes.
