How difficult is it to rent with pets

We are moving house soon. (Buyers want to be in by end of June so they don’t miss the stamp duty holiday)
We can’t start looking and be firm about dates till we exchange and then it could be as little as 2 weeks to exchange.

Do you think it is possible to rent a house when you have pets and we have a precarious income (although we will have the money from the house)

Think carefully, renting may not work out, caravan purchase? Prices have shot up due to staycations etc and where would you go? Pitches will be booked up for summer. Have you found somewhere to buy? If so I would push to complete at the same time, your cats won’t appreciate being moved around. If it was me I would pull out of the sale, if it doesn’t work for me.

I wasn’t going to look for a pitch. Just thought we’d wander around and maybe park in a lay-by or outside the small flat with garden that we are buying for the cats😃

At this stage I am thinking of even mad options.

The sale will never work as I know to get what we are after comes up once every few months and you have to be quick to buy

You can’t park a caravan in a lay by, the police will soon move you on, you will also need to hook up for electric & water etc. I have moved recently so I know the stress that is caused by the moving process. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Spent some of my earlier life in a caravan. So it isn’t a thing I am unfamiliar with.

Mentally unstable mother decided to buy a house but not live in it as it would get dirty.
