Any Faxers here - how long does it take to walk from Upper Range (just below Claremount Road) down to train station?

And weather - when do you normally get snow, once a year or more? The DH has a slight concern about driving to Birstall each day for work in the winter.

Thanks! :-)

I'd say about 20 to 30 mins for that walk. TBH its really not a nice walk and I wouldn't want to be walking that in the dark.

I also think it would be terrible getting to Birstall, the traffic can be a nightmare pre covid times.

We haven't had lots of snow in the last 10 years, but last winter we had a couple of days. The hills do make the snow a bit tricky, the centre can be okay, but towards any hill it is a nightmare.

Thanks @BlueisthenewGrey, DH works shifts so wouldn't be travelling during normal peak hour times fortunately.

Noted the walk to station - perhaps a bus from Claremount Rd down to town centre and then walk to station?
