Less transient family areas in London

We live in a transient area of London and a new set of people move in and out constantly, so it’s hard to make a settled group of family friends.

Where is a good family area in London, that isn’t quite as transient?
@CatAndHisKit we are currently looking at Crouch End/Muswell Hill but were worried that it might also be transient as we can only afford a flat.Lovely to hear people dont move around too much
I second that! Muswell Hill isn't transient IMO. Such a lovely community/Village feel and easy to meet locals and build a local social circle. This is speaking from experience, having moved from abroad. You have so many green spaces on your doorstep, find this is the case, even when you are in a flat.

@WarmAndFluff DH & people I know are all moving to a hybrid model although admittedly they all had some remote working pre covid.

I'm not sure how it's over the top as you specifically listed small towns/country/village. Everyone I know has either gone to another city or large town.

It could be a natural cycle, I'm a Londoner & it was much more desirable to live in the outer zones/home counties when I was growing up.

Greenwich is fairly stable, at least in the bit I am in. Been here 15 years and the kids have moved from nursery to primary and secondary and we are still in a large friendship group with the parents we met at primary. We are shooters hill/ bexleyheath borders. The hill has quite a community feel if that's what you are looking for.
