Bathroom colours

We're having a small rear extension which will allow us to make a small downstairs bathroom. About 1.2m X 1.8. we're having this shower screen: www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/arezzo-1950mm-matt-black-grid-wetroom-screen-support-arm?campaign=googlebase&PS2PVV1=15425&gclid=CjwKCAjw47eFBhA9EiwAy8kzNNJBMMoBUGBUG19EKtfhZq_M09mCUxNpdUpgovOycahVlzht98KFixoCEfcQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

and a white suite with compact sink. I'm stuck on tiles. I think the walls will be a warm white. Floor is oak herringbone (LVT). I quite fancy pink or navy tiles, DH is less thrilled by the prospect! What I definitely don't want are large travertine tiles.

Any suggestions?

I like the blue tiles but might they be a bit of a stark contrast to the light walls?

I like pink too but I think they will look outdated quickly as it’s a bit of trend at the mo.

What tiles does your husband want? Could you choose a more neutral colour tile and then paint/accessories with strong colours? That might make the bathroom style last longer (might not be an issue for you if you can afford to redo in a few years).

Oh I like that shape tile laid that way though.

We have white tiled half walls, the tiles are a long brick shape, and navy paint (Hague Blue) above the tiles.

I know there is a fashion for coloured tiles right now but a few years ago people thought of coloured tiles as dated and 1970s. In a few more years they may well be out of fashion again and either you or a future buyer may hate them. It’s a lot easier to change paint in future than tiles.

Also would recommend large tiles in the shower as small tiles equals more grout and more mildew.

I think everything dates though- tile shape and size, fixture styles, tap colours etc. So cute m not too bothered about it dating, or keeping up with fashion. But I like the idea of coloured pain and neutral tiles.

I love those blue tiles. I normally like pink everything but the pink tiles remind me of my mum's hideous 1970s pink bathroom that has never been updated.
