What colour works for north facing living room decor

I've just had my living room replastered so have an almost blank canvas to work with! But confused about what colours might work in a north facing living room. I'm torn between light bright paint because it's dull in there, or embracing the lack of natural light and going for a deep jewel colour paint. Tell me what's worked for you or what really didn't?!

Furniture and pictures to work with are boho vibes, dark kelim print fabric, brown leather sofa, and pictures and stuff picked up from travels, mixed with kids and pets. Tidy and chic isn't going to work...

We hae same issue as you and a good mix of prints and colours. Went for F7B Setting Plaster and hells bells - tis lovely day and night. Weirdly by day it looks very modern and at night very cozy....

Fired Earth’s Verd Antique looks great in our north facing lounge. Pairs well with deep red accents and ‘travellery’ accessories. Mid tone if you can’t decide between light and dark!

We have a semi basement room that faces north so we went with Dark Blue - F&B Scotch Blue is great on the walls as it has some slightly purplish undertones which warm it up a bit.
